Program Objective

The 2025 Sugar Processor Block Grants provides targeted assistance to help agricultural producers continue commodity production and develop or expand markets for sugar commodities.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants

  • Unrestricted by Entity Type

Sugar processors with temporary market disruptions and increased production and processing costs in calendar year 2025.

Beneficiaries

  • Farmer / Rancher / Agriculture Producer

Eligible producers of sugar beets and sugar cane that are members of the sugar processors that suffered from temporary market disruptions and increased production and processing costs in calendar year 2025.

How to Apply

Award Procedure

The USDA will enter into non-competitive block grants with specific sugar beet and sugar cane cooperative processors following negotiation and establishment of certain terms and conditions as required by the program’s authorizing statute. Following award executions and pursuant to the terms and conditions of each award, the processors will accept applications from and issue payments to eligible producers.
