Program Objective
The Supplemental Disaster Block Grants purpose is to provide compensation to producers who have suffered certain losses as a consequence of hurricanes in 2023 and 2024.

Eligible producers in the 6 eligible states that suffered losses, as a consequence of hurricanes in 2023 or 2024.
How to Apply
Award Procedure
The USDA will enter into six con-competitive block grants with specific States following negotiation and establishment of certain terms and conditions as required by the program’s authorizing statute. Following award executions and pursuant to the terms and conditions of each award, the States will accept applications from and issue payments to eligible producers.

Description
The Supplemental Disaster Block Grants provide compensation to producers for necessary expenses related to losses of revenue, quality or production of crops (including milk, on-farm stored commodities, crops prevented from planting, and harvested adulterated wine grapes), trees, bushes, and vines, as a consequence of hurricanes in calendar years 2023 and 2024, such assistance may include compensation to producers for timber (including payments to non-Federal forest landowners), citrus, pecan, and poultry (including infrastructure) losses.

Allowed Uses
Certain administrative costs may be allowed, in addition to the direct assistance to eligible producers. Funds provided to eligible producers are compensation for losses and any restrictions for the use of such funds will be stipulated under each award’s terms and conditions.
