Program Objective

The Sugar Processor Block Grants purpose is to provide compensation to producers who have suffered sugar beet pile losses as a consequence of excessive moisture in 2024.

Beneficiaries

  • Farmer / Rancher / Agriculture Producer

Eligible producers that are cooperative members of the 6 eligible cooperative processors that suffered sugar beet pile losses, as a consequence of excessive moisture in calendar year 2024.

How to Apply

Award Procedure

The USDA will enter into non-competitive block grants with specific sugar beet cooperative processors following negotiation and establishment of certain terms and conditions as required by the program’s authorizing statute. Following award executions and pursuant to the terms and conditions of each award, the processors will accept applications from and issue payments to eligible producers.
