Can you apply?
This grant is for forest health and wildfire science research in California. Applicants must propose stand-alone research projects addressing one or more of seven priority topics, ranging from forest resilience strategies to wildfire prediction modeling. Research must be relevant to California ecosystems and their management.
Eligible applicants are likely universities, research institutions, and nonprofit organizations with research capacity. The two-stage application process requires a concept proposal first, then invited researchers submit full proposals for final selection.
Funding supports pure research activities only. Management-oriented projects with research components are not eligible. All research must align with California's climate, forest, and wildfire resilience goals.
