Program Objective

To understand better the harmful effects of international parental child abduction on abducted children and left-behind parents to lay the groundwork for futures studies and to improve the supports and services for affected families in the United States.

How to Apply

Award Procedure

Applications will be reviewed first for technical merit. All technically eligible applications will be evaluated by a merit review panel according to the evaluation criteria set forth in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). The successful applicant will receive a Federal Assistance Award issued by the Department of State Grants Office. The Federal Assistance Award, together with the approved application and any subsequent amendments, constitutes the sole binding legal agreement between the recipient and the U.S. Government. No costs may be incurred against the award until the award has been fully executed by an authorized Grants Officer.
