This grant is for local arts agencies and state-local partners working to strengthen county-level arts ecosystems. Eligible applicants are designated State-Local Partners operating in California counties. Projects must address racial equity in arts programming and serve entire county populations.
Activities include supporting local arts agencies, implementing community-identified arts priorities, and promoting equitable access to cultural services. The program aims to build sustainable county-level partnerships for arts funding and cultural development statewide.
Cost sharing is required. Awards typically reach approximately $65,000 per designated county partner.

Program description
Projects should address the following State-Local Partnership program goals: Support the work of local arts agencies in fostering the countywide arts and cultural ecosystem. Provide funds to address priorities identified at the local level in alignment with State-Local Partnership program requirements. Promote race equity in programming and services for artists, arts organizations, communities, cultures, and creative practices throughout each county with a designated State-Local Partnership. Serve every county in the state through a designated State-Local Partner in each county.
