💡 Tips for applicants

  • Clearly demonstrate how your organization currently serves hemophilia patients and describe specific gaps you will address with funding.
  • Emphasize partnerships with other healthcare providers and patient advocacy groups to show commitment to regional coordination and access expansion.
  • Develop measurable quality improvement metrics and outcomes that align with evidence-based hemophilia care standards.
  • Include a workforce training plan that details how clinical staff will build or enhance their hemophilia care expertise.
  • Address sustainability beyond the grant period by identifying future funding sources or revenue models for the expanded services.

⚠️ Common mistakes

Applicants underestimate the importance of demonstrating existing hemophilia care capacity and partnerships; generic proposals without disease-specific expertise rarely score competitively. Weak quality improvement plans that lack specific, measurable metrics and realistic timelines lead to rejection. Applications failing to address workforce training or clinical staff development miss a core program requirement.
