💡 Tips for applicants
- Review Pennsylvania's "Aging our Way, PA" strategic plan before writing your proposal. Clearly map your project to at least one priority area.
- Focus on community-driven solutions that address real needs of older adults or people with dementia in your region.
- Demonstrate partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, or community leaders when possible.
- Show measurable outcomes and a realistic timeline for the $10,000-$50,000 budget range.
- Build your application around how your project strengthens both individuals and their broader communities.
⚠️ Common mistakes
Applications fail when they don't connect clearly to PA's aging strategic plan priorities. Weak community engagement or lack of demonstrated need for the project undermines competitiveness. Vague outcomes or unrealistic budgets for the stated activities weaken the case.
