💡 Tips for applicants
- Clearly connect your project to improving CMV safety, productivity, or cost reduction. Show how technology deployment will benefit commercial drivers and carriers.
- If your project involves linking Federal and State systems, explain the current gaps and how your solution closes them.
- Provide detailed timelines and milestones for technology development and deployment phases.
- Include letters of support from motor carriers, state agencies, or industry partners to demonstrate feasibility and adoption potential.
- Address scalability. Describe how your solution could be replicated or expanded to other regions or carrier types.
⚠️ Common mistakes
Submitting a technology proposal without clear connections to commercial motor vehicle operations. Failing to demonstrate how the project improves driver safety or carrier productivity. Underestimating deployment complexity or ignoring state and Federal regulatory coordination needs.
