💡 Tips for applicants
- Review DCY's FSN model documentation carefully before applying. Understand the implementation requirements for your county.
- Budget personnel costs precisely based on position titles, salaries, and fringe rates. This is the primary expense category.
- Submit applications only through the Grants Management System. Paper submissions will not be accepted.
- If applying for both counties, clearly show separate budgets and implementation plans for each.
- Connect with DCY staff early if you have questions about model fidelity or eligibility requirements.
⚠️ Common mistakes
Submitting applications outside the Grants Management System will result in rejection. Vague implementation plans lacking specific FSN model components reduce competitiveness. Unrealistic personnel budgets or failure to include fringe costs creates budget concerns.
