Required Documentation
Nonprofit organizations may be requested to provide evidence of tax-exempt status. When projects involve the collaborative efforts of more than one organization or require the use of services or facilities not under the direct control of the applicant, written assurances of specific support or agreements may be required from the affected parties.
Matching Requirements
While there is not a fixed cost-sharing percentage or amount, projects must include financial support from sources other than Title X. Program regulations at 42 C.F.R. § 59.7(c) stipulate that "No grant may be made for an amount equal to 100 percent of the project's estimated costs.'' Also, 42 C.F.R. § 59.7(b) states that “No grant may be made for less than 90 percent of the project's costs, as so estimated, unless the grant is to be made for a project that was supported, under section 1001, for less than 90 percent of its costs in fiscal year 1975.
