Centers for Surface Transportation Excellence 504(h)
Program Objective
The goals of a center funded under this program shall be to promote and support strategic national surface transportation programs and activities relating to the work of State departments of transportation in the areas of environment, surface transportation safety, rural safety, and project finance.
To achieve those goals, any centers established under paragraph (1) shall provide technical assistance, information sharing of best practices, and training in the use of tools and decision-making processes that can assist States in effectively implementing surface transportation programs, projects, and policies.
This Assistance Listing 20.291 created in August 2025 was included in the previous ALN 20.215, please refer to former ALN 20.215 for FY24 and FY25 financial obligations. The new Assistance Listing 20.291 will be utilized by DOT at the start of FY 2026"
