Program Objective

The purpose of this subpart is to support and ensure an expanding production of advanced biofuels by providing payments to eligible advanced biofuel producers.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants

  • For-Profit Organization
  • Other

Advance Biofuel Producer - an individual, corporation, company, foundation, association, labor organization, firm, partnership, society, joint stock company, group of organizations, or non-profit entity that produces and sells an advanced biofuel.

An individual, corporation, company, foundation, association, labor company, group of organizations, or non-profit entity that blends or otherwise combines advanced biofuels into a blended biofuel is not considered an advanced biofuel producer under this Program.

How to Apply

Award Procedure

1. Application for participation in the program
2. Sign a contract with the Agency
3. Submit a quarterly request for payment under the program with documentation of
production
4. Convert production to BTU values
5. Award funding based on requests received and production for each producer

Allowed Uses

The purpose of this program is to support and ensure an expanding production of Advanced Biofuels by providing payments to eligible advanced biofuel producers. The Advanced Biofuel Payment Program promotes sustainable economic development in rural America, and is an important part of achieving increased biofuel production. Producers must produce advanced biofuel from feedstocks other than corn kernel starch.

Restrictions

Producers must produce advance biofuel from other than corn kernel starch. The Statute allows $25 million of Discretionary Funds.
