DHR’s objective is to strengthen and coordinate the U.S. government’s response to overseas humanitarian crises while advancing policy leadership in food security, nutrition, and long-term agricultural research and innovation.

Award Procedure
The Assistant Secretary of the Bureau makes funding decisions based on recommendations from the Bureau of Disaster and Humanitarian Response and other bureau offices. A warranted grants officer signs the agreement.
