💡 Tips for applicants
- Emphasize your existing Health Center Program relationships and track record serving underserved populations. Strong connections to H80 recipients strengthen competitiveness.
- Focus your TA activities on scalable, region-specific solutions. Address barriers to nutrition service expansion in your geographic area.
- Use data showing nutrition service gaps in your target health centers. Baseline metrics demonstrate need and allow for outcome measurement.
- Build a multidisciplinary team including registered dietitians, health educators, and administrators. Expertise in both nutrition and healthcare delivery is critical.
- Detail your sustainability plan beyond the grant period. Explain how health centers will maintain nutrition services after TA ends.
⚠️ Common mistakes
Applying without established relationships to H80 health centers or look-alikes in your region. Proposals should name specific partner health centers and document their commitment. Proposing generic nutrition education without addressing region-specific barriers or health center capacity gaps. Weak sustainability plans that don't explain how nutrition services continue after technical assistance ends.
