Can you apply?
This grant is for organizations that can convene Canadian alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. Applicants must be based in or able to operate in Canada and have capacity to organize a summit in Ottawa, Ontario. The program targets bringing together exchange alumni to foster networking and collaboration.
U.S. and Canadian nongovernmental organizations, educational institutions, and similar entities may be eligible. Organizations must demonstrate ability to reach and engage the alumni network. Cost sharing is not required.
The summit must take place in Ottawa and serve as a platform for alumni engagement, networking, and partnership exploration among exchange program participants.
Program description
The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Ottawa announces an open competition to implement a program to convene alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs for an alumni summit in Ottawa, Ontario. This summit will bring together exchange program alumni to foster continued engagement, networking, and collaboration among participants who have benefited from U.S. exchange initiatives. The summit will provide a platform for alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and explore opportunities for ongoing partnership.
The target audience is Canadian alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs based in Canada.
This program advances U.S. foreign policy priorities by strengthening people-to-people ties between the United States and Canada.
