This grant is for California medical examiners, coroners' offices, and law enforcement coroner divisions to improve toxicology data collection related to DUI/DUID deaths. Eligible applicants must be public agencies responsible for handling deceased individuals who died while driving or as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle. Activities funded include collecting biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, saliva) from deceased individuals and conducting testing for alcohol and drugs. Program description

The Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship Program is a scholarship where eligible applicants may receive a scholarship of up to $25,000 for one year of their educational program in exchange for a 12-month service obligation and providing direct patient care in a qualified facility in California upon graduating.
