This grant is for California school districts and county offices of education (COEs) seeking to prevent youth tobacco use. Individual LEAs and COEs may apply for up to $6,000 for the three-year funding period. Consortiums of LEAs may request $6,000 per LEA represented in the application.
The grant funds activities focused on tobacco-free school policy development, administration of the California Healthy Kids Survey, and youth tobacco prevention. All activities must align with the Legislature's requirements for tobacco prevention and school policy enforcement.
This is a California-specific state grant administered by the CA Department of Education.

Program description
Eligible Applicants: Local public agencies Eligible Uses: Eligible projects include recycled water treatment; recycled water storage, distribution, and pumping; groundwater recharge; and indirect potable reuse. Ineligible Uses: Operation and maintenance costs. Eligible Costs: All costs necessary to determine the feasibility of using recycled water and to select an alternative to offset or augment the use of fresh/potable water from state or local supplies may be eligible for the planning grant. Eligible Communities: All community types are eligible for funding. This includes small and large communities, non-disadvantaged, disadvantaged, and severely disadvantaged communities.
