Program description

EVITP is a nonprofit organization that provides online proprietary training and certification for general electricians to install electric vehicle supply equipment in the United States and Canada. The $275 online training program takes approximately 20 hours to complete. Curriculum modules include load requirements, electrical codes and regulations, electric installation of direct current chargers, inductive charging, vehicle-to-grid applications, and best practices for charger installation and maintenance. After successful completion of the online training course, electricians are certified through a proctored online examination.
