This grant is for Ohio colleges and universities to deliver statewide tutoring in mathematics and literacy. Eligible applicants include two- and four-year public and private institutions with teacher preparation or education programs. Institutions without these programs may participate as collaborators with a lead institution. The grant supports tutoring partnerships between colleges/universities and K-12 districts and schools, including community schools and chartered nonpublic schools, to accelerate learning and address learning disruptions.

Collaborative approaches are strongly encouraged to ensure regional access across all school types. Both lead institutions and collaborative partners must be based in Ohio.

Program description

The Ohio Department of Education will award grants to Ohio colleges and universities, including two- and four-year public and private institutions, with teacher preparation or education programs to promote statewide tutoring in mathematics and literacy with districts and schools to accelerate learning and address disruptions. Colleges and universities that want to participate but do not have teacher preparation or education programs may collaborate with a lead institution having such a program.
