This grant is for purchasing agricultural conservation easements on California farmland. Landowners must partner with eligible organizations like land trusts, cities, counties, resource conservation districts, or regional park districts. The program covers farmland in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Kern, Kings, or Tulare counties. Land must contain Prime Farmland, Farmland of Statewide Importance, or Unique Farmland as mapped by the Department of Conservation. A pre-proposal is required before submitting a full application.

Program description

DTSC’s ISCP Loan Program provides loans for property owners, developers, community groups, and local governments to conduct preliminary endangerment assessment of underutilized urban properties. Loan used to conduct preliminary endangerment assessments. If redevelopment of property is determined not to be economically feasible, up to 75 percent of the loan amount can be waived.
