This grant is for Ohio public and charter schools seeking to improve literacy instruction through a two-year professional development network. Schools must send educator participants to extensive training on language, literacy, dialect, and family engagement. Participants create and implement individual projects to enhance literacy outcomes at their building or district.
Only Ohio schools can apply. The program focuses on reaching all students, including those from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Program description
The Ohio Department of Education announces the Reaching All Students Grant. The project will develop a two-year network of educators from subgrantee schools; provide participants with extensive training from national experts in language, literacy, dialect, and family and community engagement; and support each participant in creating and implementing an individual project to improve literacy instruction at their buildings or districts.
