💡 Tips for applicants
- Include a U.S. partner organization, expert, or company in your proposal. The Embassy emphasizes sustained cooperation beyond the program period.
- Focus on one of the priority areas: entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, or English language development. Clear alignment strengthens competitiveness.
- Demonstrate how your partnership builds lasting institutional relationships. Short-term activities without follow-up structures are less competitive.
- Identify your target audience clearly (students, entrepreneurs, or young professionals ages 18-35). Specificity shows program focus.
- Plan for cost sharing upfront. Include clear contributions from your U.S. and Algerian partners in the budget narrative.
⚠️ Common mistakes
Proposals without a committed U.S. partner organization or expert fail to meet core requirements. Vague plans for "long-term impact" without concrete institutional agreements weaken competitiveness. Missing cost-sharing details or unclear matching contributions are common budget problems.
