This grant is for organizations helping farmers transition to organic production. Resource Conservation Districts, University of California campuses, California Community Colleges, California State Universities, nonprofits, and California Native American Tribes may apply.
Applicants must serve farmers and ranchers with land undergoing the mandatory 3-year organic transition period. Priority is given to serving at least 50% Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers (SDFRs).
Grant funds support outreach, farmer selection, one-on-one technical assistance, business planning, and direct financial assistance to transitioning farmers. At least 70% of award must go directly to farmers and ranchers.

Program description
Pursuant to the Song-Brown Health Care Workforce Training Act (Song-Brown Act), Health & Safety Code Sections 128200, et. seq., the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) will consider applications to support the training of certified nurse midwives (CNM) and licensed midwives (LM).
