Ohio Reentry Coalition Grant Opportunity

This grant is for organizations seeking to establish or expand reentry coalitions in Ohio that support justice-involved individuals. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations, and community stakeholders working on reentry services. The coalitions must demonstrate ability to sustain operations beyond the grant period ending June 30, 2023. Activities funded include creating new coalitions or expanding existing services to additional counties across Ohio.
Cost-sharing is not required. Personnel costs are not allowable under this grant. Organizations must show capacity for long-term sustainability of coalition work after federal funding ends.
Program description
Reentry Coalitions are alliances of individuals for combined action to promote successful reintegration. They connect justice-involved people to communities, programs, and resources. Reentry Coalitions include community members, representatives from government agencies, local faith organizations and stakeholders. The coalitions in Ohio strive to ensure successful reentry through collaborative partnerships with all members and local community stakeholders. Reentry Coalitions have been instrumental in making considerable strides in assisting justice-involved men and women reunify with families and reintegrate back into communities throughout Ohio. The project seeks to increase the number of reentry coalitions in Ohio and/or expand the reach of counties receiving services. There will be multiple awards to entities that meet the criteria. There is no match required. The grant period will end June 30, 2023. This is a one-time grant opportunity and agencies must be able to sustain creations and/or expansions of coalitions/services beyond the grant. As this is a one-time grant opportunity, personnel costs should not be included.
