Program description
The Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act (HSCA) authorizes the Department of Environmental Protection to issue Host Municipality Technical Evaluation Grants. Grants are available for municipalities in which DEP’s Hazardous Sites Cleanup Program has deemed a site and is proposing a remedial response. The grant provides funds for the municipality to conduct an independent technical evaluation of the proposed remedial response. DEP will notify a municipality at least six months in advance of the proposed remedial response becoming available for review.
