Can you apply?
This grant is for Ohio courts seeking technology system upgrades to implement electronic citation interfaces. Municipal courts, county courts, and juvenile courts (divisions of courts of common pleas) in Ohio are eligible applicants. Courts must be located in Ohio and may submit one application per project. Mayor's courts are not eligible.
The funding supports court technology systems that integrate with the Ohio Trooper Information System (OTIS), Ohio Law Enforcement Information System (OLEIS), or State of Ohio Law Enforcement Virtual Exchange (SOLVE). This was a one-time funding opportunity administered by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
No cost-sharing requirement applied. The grant was open to public court entities only.
Program description
The Supreme Court of Ohio (Court) and the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS), Traffic Records Coordinating Committee (TRCC) are pleased to announce a one-time funding opportunity offered by the ODPS. The purpose is to fund local court technology system upgrades necessary for the implementation of electronic citation interfaces with the Ohio Trooper Information System (OTIS), Ohio Law Enforcement Information System (OLEIS) or the State of Ohio Law Enforcement Virtual Exchange (SOLVE). This opportunity is funded by a federal award to the ODPS/TRCC and $1 million in project funding is available for projects. Any municipal court, county court, or juvenile court (division of courts of common pleas) in Ohio is eligible to apply. Courts are eligible to submit one application for one project for funding consideration. Mayor’s courts are not eligible applicants.
