Projects must facilitate or enhance public opportunities to explore California's coast and San Francisco Bay shoreline. Priority communities may include lower-income individuals, people with disabilities, people of color, immigrant communities, foster youth, and other historically excluded groups.

Projects should provide enjoyable coastal experiences, reduce economic or physical barriers to access, or inspire coastal stewardship through learning and interactive activities.
