💡 Tips for applicants

  • Demonstrate how your innovation advances elder justice beyond current practice. Show why existing approaches fall short.
  • Plan for dissemination and replication from the start. Funders prioritize projects with field-wide impact, not just local change.
  • Build cost-share partnerships early. Secure commitments from collaborators or your own organization before applying.
  • Connect your work to evidence. Reference relevant research on elder abuse prevention or intervention effectiveness.
  • Outline evaluation metrics clearly. Funders want to see how you'll measure innovation success and impact.

⚠️ Common mistakes

Proposals lack clear dissemination/replication plan. Many applications focus on service delivery instead of innovation or evidence-building. Weak or unconfirmed cost-share commitments undermine applications.
