Program description
The “California Comprehensive School Security” (CCSS) Program is meant to assist local school districts in identifying and addressing the needs or gaps in school violence prevention and intervention. To be eligible to receive funds, the entity must: Be a County Office of Education for a rural area or small county with a population of 100,000 or less. Each County Office of Education will identify select elementary, middle and/or high schools within their area of authority to implement the pilot projects. Applicants applying for programs supported with federal funds must be registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM) and have an expiration date that is at least eight weeks after the Application due date. Check SAM status.
