This grant is for organizations that manage or own forest land in California seeking to improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk. Eligible applicants include public agencies, tribes, universities, special districts, private forest owners, and nonprofits. Projects must be landscape-scale (minimum $750,000, maximum $5 million) with demonstrated greenhouse gas emissions reductions and multiple partners.
Activities focus on forest fuels reduction, prescribed fire, pest management, reforestation, and biomass utilization. All projects must achieve regional resilience and climate benefits through treatment, avoided wildfire, or carbon sequestration. Planning and capacity-building can comprise up to 10% of the budget.

Program description
The County Medical Services Program Loan Repayment Program (CMSP LRP) awards successful applicants $50,000 for a two-year, full-time commitment and $25,000 for a two-year, half-time commitment. Applicants must work in a CMSP qualified site located in one of the 35 CMSP counties.
