2022 Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Culturally Specific Set-Aside

This grant is for organizations serving culturally specific communities affected by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Local governments and nonprofit community-based organizations are eligible applicants.
Eligible activities include direct services, crisis intervention, and transitional housing. Legal assistance to victims, court improvement programs, and training for law enforcement and courts also qualify.
The grant is geographically restricted to Ohio. Applicants must demonstrate capacity to serve culturally specific populations effectively.
Program description
The purpose of the funding it to support culturally specific communities in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. It will assist local governments and non-profit community based organizations in administering justice for and strengthening services to victims through activities that include direct services, crisis intervention, transitional housing, legal assistance to victims, court improvement and training for law enforcement and courts.
