SAM.gov (System for Award Management) is the U.S. government’s official registration system. Organizations must register there — and renew yearly — to be eligible for federal grants and contracts. Registration assigns a UEI and can take a few weeks, so start early. SAM.gov also hosts the catalog of all federal assistance programs.
