These grants address critical challenges in rural food access, agricultural capacity building, and research to strengthen our national food infrastructure.
Most Food Systems grants range from $200,000 to $950,000 and use competitive application processes. State governments, nonprofits, and public universities are typical recipients, often supporting rural communities, low-income populations, and Alaska Native regions.
