Dependent upon the individual NOFO, eligibility may range from open competition, limited competition, single-source, domestic and/or international in accordance with the authorizing legislation.
How to Apply
Award Procedure
After review and approval, a notice of award (NoA) is prepared and processed, along with appropriate notification to the public. Initial award provides funds for first budget period (12 months) and NoA indicates support provided in the initial award and the recommended funding amounts for the remainder of project period, allocation of Federal funds by budget categories, and special conditions, if any.

These projects support CDC HIV related policies and programs by facilitating active communication, consultation, and peer-to-peer technical assistance to address emerging needs of directly funded health departments in the changing landscape of HIV prevention, care, and treatment.

Allowed Uses
Funds may be used in the prevention or control of disease, disability and/or death by infectious diseases. Restrictions to funding are designated in the individual Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and, for those awarded, in the Notice of Award (NoA).
Required Documentation
Costs under CDC financial assistance mechanisms are in accordance with 2 CFR §200. Any required credentials and/or documentation will be identified in the NOFO to which applications are submitted.
