How to Apply

Award Procedure

The NIST program office will conduct an initial screening of each application for completeness and responsiveness to this Notice of Funding Opportunity. Applications that pass the initial screening will be reviewed by at least one technically qualified, objective reviewer to evaluate the (i) technical soundness and (ii) merits of the application in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 8.G. of the Department of Commerce Grants and Cooperative Agreements Manual (20 April 2021). The review will be provided to the Selecting Official for further consideration.

The Selecting Official will prepare a final award recommendation for the NIST Grants Officer. The award decisions by the NIST Grants Officer are final.
