Program Objective
Research Set-Aside (RSA) programs support competitive grants where a portion of a fishery's catch or days-at-sea is reserved, not for general harvest, but to support research with funds generated by selling the allocated fish or days-at-sea.

Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to, institutions of higher education, hospitals, other nonprofits, commercial organizations, individuals, state, local, and Native American tribal governments.
How to Apply
Award Procedure
Applications reviewed by the National Marine Fisheries Service Regional Program Office and processed by the NOAA Grants Management Division (OA32).
A date range will change depending on the review process. Usually within 180 calendar days from the receipt of a complete and acceptable application but may exceed that timeline.
