Funded Projects

Examples of what this program has supported.

FY2025 NFF provides one-to-one basis to match the Forest Service funds provided for projects, and to perform management and accounting of ongoing sub-agreements. One example of a sub-agreement's performance in FY25 included work on forest system lands with Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation. For this project, creation of an immersive, women-led outdoor leadership and stewardship experience, equipped participants with skills in trail maintenance, Leave No Trace principles, and backcountry confidence, while directly contributing to public land conservation.
