💡 Tips for applicants

  • Focus your application on direct victim services that address urgent needs like emergency financial assistance, shelter, or legal help.
  • Clearly demonstrate how your organization will connect victims to additional community resources beyond your direct services.
  • Include specific examples of how your proposed services support Angel families impacted by crime.
  • Since you are an invited applicant, confirm all eligibility requirements directly with your assigned agency contact.
  • Budget carefully for personnel to ensure sustainable case management and victim advocacy over the grant period.

⚠️ Common mistakes

Proposing services that indirectly address victim needs rather than directly serving victims. Failing to clarify how case management and referral activities connect victims to broader community resources. Underestimating staffing costs needed to provide quality advocacy and sustained case management services.
