Program Objective

The CAIO team is responsible for developing a strategy that charts a progression from today’s data-science-driven analytics through semi-autonomous AI agents to future states of AI in biomedical Research and Development and internal management operations.

Through the funding or co-funding of grants, the OCAIO hopes to coordinate and inform stakeholders of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in activities that accelerate, develop, disseminate, and monitor the use of AI tools used in NIH funded research.
